That's hundreds of millions of people who could be seeing your marketing videos without you needing to pay for a promoted post or a large billboard by the side of the road. 

But, that's only if you use TikTok properly.

At any given time that you get on TikTok, you're likely to see a few similar videos pop up in your feed. Whether it's a cereal challenge where you attempt to eat milk and cereal out of someone's mouth or the more dangerous "Bright Eye Challenge" there always seems to be a new trend appearing.

You can identify the trend by the hashtags used with it. Tap the hashtags to see if there are other videos also participating in the challenge.

Participating in current TikTok challenges is a great way to get your brand noticed. Try and keep your brand's logo in the video or use a product that your brand has created. 

You can also try and start your own TikTok hashtag challenge that features a product from your brand. Just make sure that the video maintains the image and message that you want people to know about your brand. 

User-Generated Content

Another great way to use TikTok for business is to repost user-generated content. If people are using your product or talking positively about your brand, repost it! 

A great way to monitor what people are talking about your brand is to create a brand-specific hashtag that no one else is using. Monitor this hashtag and be sure to engage with the people who post using it. 

When people purchase a product, you can also add a slip of paper or an email that encourages people to post themselves on TikTok or other socials while using the item, like a DIY meal kit, and have the chance to get featured on the brand's account.

This is a fantastic way not only to create brand recognition but to get content freely created. 

Influencer Marketing

Finally, you can opt for traditional influencer marketing on TikTok. This involves working with someone, an influencer, who already has a large following on Tiktok and providing them with either your product or having them talk about your product. 

As this is more of a traditional marketing technique, you will need to pay the influencer for their time and effort in creating the video. 

Influencer marketing can be extremely successful. Influencers have built up what is often considered a cult-following and so when an influencer talks positively about a brand, the brand frequently sees growth in their customers and followers.
